31 Days of Learning to Work from Home {Day 17}: Being Available

When you're able to work from home, you don't have to worry about asking your boss to take off when you need to.  Maybe where you work, it's not a problem for you.  But over the years, I've worked in places where it seemed like being off work was frowned on unless there was severe sickness or death in the mix.

It's nice to know that I have the freedom to make my own schedule.  As long as I get my work done, it's up to me when and how I accomplish that.  So far, I've been able to be off work every Friday.  Scott's also off on Friday's, so it's been nice being able to hang out with him before we head to our regular football Friday night games.  And this week, I'm going to take my mom to her doctor appointment out of town.

So working from home will definitely allow me to be available to my family when and where needed.  I think that's a great perk!

This is Day 17 of 31 Days of Learning to Work from Home
