31 Days of Learning to Work from Home {Day 16}: Feathering My Nest

I love a clean, well organized home.  But what I love even more is putting those final touches on a room.  I love to piddle around the house, feathering my nest as I go from room to room.  I'm always tweaking things and swapping it up.  I don't think a room is ever completely done.

You need good bones to a room and it needs to be functional, but it's the little things that really make a room speak for itself.  It's the little ways we feather our nests that give our homes personality.

My home is an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary with some retro elements.  I love to decorate each and every room ....and I've learned to do it on a budget.

I'm a lucky girl to have a husband that enjoys thrifting, DIYing, and antiquing.  We save alot of money by doing this and have had so much fun in the process.  We do trips like "Peaches to the Beaches" and the recent "100 Mile Peanut Pickin' Yard Sale".

I'm always on the lookout for unique finds and conversation pieces.  Flea markets and yard sales are an excellent place for this and I highly recommend them.

Because I'm now working from home, I'm looking forward to having the extra time to feather my nest.  Especially now that we've made some major changes and purchases lately.  Pics coming soon!
