Finally Finished

After this post, I promise to put this graduation thing to rest.  Promise.

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you've already heard all you want to about it and seen all the pictures before.  But it was a VERY exciting weekend with so much to share!

Scott, Dillan, and I headed up to Raleigh, NC that Thursday to spend the night at my sister's house.  Shaana completed her undergrad studies in the fall, so she and her family were also going on the road trip to Lynchburg, VA.  They only live about 3 hours from there, so Friday was a much shorter ride!

Shaana and I had to be on campus that Friday afternoon to check-in, so we drug Dillan along with us to be our official photographer for the day.

After we signed in, we headed to the reception where we enjoyed lots of goodies and free items :)  Then we went on a long awaited tour of the campus.

It is truly an incredible place and I'm so glad I was finally able to see it for myself.

Our Baccalaureate service was that evening at 6:00 with guest speaker, Eric Metaxas.  After the service, we headed to our hotel to join our families.

Since the graduates had to be on campus at 7:30 am to start lining up, we had a very early morning!  I took this picture right before we jumped out of the car to join our fellow classmates.....all 8,000 of them!

Dillan was able to find us in the HUGE crowd as we started marching in.  You see us there in the middle waving?

As you can see from the pictures, it was a packed house.  The graduates began processing in at 8:45 am and had just been seated when the commencement started at 10:00 am.

Shaana and I were excited to be able to sit together during the commencement, but after that, we all split up according to our area of study for our Degree Presentation Ceremony.

Afterward, we were able to find Shaana and her family and took more photos....yes, more photos!  You can never have enough of a moment like this ;)

It was such an amazing weekend.....one I will never forget!  I'm so thankful to LU for the education and training I've received and for the growth I have experienced in my faith in God.  I'm also thankful to Shaana for talking me into going.  Originally, I had not planned to since it was so far away.

I will be sharing with you soon about a door of opportunity that God has opened for me as a result of my education.  Right now, I'm enjoying my new-found freedom.  Summer is around the corner and I have NO homework!!!!!
