Well, it was another busy, fun-filled weekend.  It's no wonder I never blog on the weekends......just too much to do and too many places to be.

I can't believe we'll be celebrating Thanksgiving next week!  It's almost time to start dragging down boxes out of the attic to decorate my home for Christmas - which is a big job!  Hopefully, I'll have time to give the whole house a good cleaning before I get started.  It always makes me feel better when I start some major decorating with a squeaky clean house :)

I thought I'd share some pics to get you caught up with the latest around here, so here goes..........

The women's ministry at our church hosted an event Saturday morning for the ladies of our church.

We planned a delicious meal and decorated the social hall with the beautiful, bright colors of fall.

Before lunch, we were treated by a group of women performing a drama about the "Bad Girls of the Bible".  There is so much we can learn from these stories in the Bible.  Our ladies group has done several studies on these women.  Eve, Delilah, and many other characters were there.

And of course, my favorite Bible character was there too.....the Samaritan Woman!

I asked if she'd take a picture with me.  I explained to her why this story meant so much to me and it brought tears to her eyes.  We must always remember that our past does not determine our future.  If you'd like to read more about my testimony, just go here.

Late Saturday afternoon, Scott and I headed to Atlanta to watch the SIAC Championship Game.  One of our former Wilcox County Patriots was playing and we had not had the opportunity to see him play in college.  This was his last college game, so we made sure to be there.  The game was between the Miles College Bears and Albany State.

They lost the championship 17-14, but we are still so proud of Lonnie and all of his accomplishments during his college career.  We're hoping to see him get picked up in the NFL draft next spring!

In other news..........

This has nothing to do with anything, but I'm in love with this mascara!  Maybelline's Colossal-Washable-Mascara is by far the best I've tried.  I have very stubborn lashes.  They're neither short nor long and are hard to curl.  They're just kind of there.  But this stuff does the trick!

We've got 6:03 Worship this week as well.  This will be our Thanksgiving service so we'll also be having Communion.  If you live in the area, we'd love to have you!  The service starts at 7:30 (food at 7:00) at the Newt Hudson Ag Center in Rochelle.

Well, I better get off here and get busy.  Got homework to do!  Y'all have a good rest of the week :)
