Hold your horses, Christmas....or should I say reindeer?

Is it just me or is Christmas trying to push Thanksgiving out of the way?  Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas so much!  It's my favorite holiday, but Thanksgiving is right there at a close second.

I love the fact that Thanksgiving causes me to pause and count my blessings - and we truly have so much to be thankful for!  After doing that, I'm able to focus on the upcoming Christmas holiday and what it really means, despite how commercialized it has become.

I love the gifts and the food and all the decorating that goes along with Christmas, but what I really love is remembering that sweet baby Jesus.  He was born only to give His life to save us from an eternity in hell.  That is something that I am especially thankful for not only at Thanksgiving, but every day.

So before you rush right through this Thanksgiving holiday, take a moment to count your blessings.  I guarantee you that it will give you a new perspective on the Christmas season and you will be able to enjoy it for what it's really all about.

Happy Thanksgiving!
