listening to the whispers of my heart....and writing it down

Yesterday was such a glorious day!  My "writing day" went as planned and I was able to get so much accomplished.  The weather was perfect also!  I went outside with Lucy...and my coffee...first thing and enjoyed some quiet time with the Lord.  I didn't have to hurry off to work or worry about what to wear.  To be honest with you, I don't think I even brushed my hair all day!  My teeth...yes....but I just threw on some comfy clothes and got busy on several writing projects.

I felt so relaxed and so inspired to write that 10:00 am - 4:00 pm went by so quickly.  Before I knew it, I had written several stories to submit to publications and had also laid the ground work for a new book I hope to have published.  There's still much to do, but just getting it started was my biggest hurdle.

I never turned the television on, except to tune in to a Christian music channel for inspiration.  Lucy was on her best behavior and enjoyed napping near me all day.  Scott brought home a pizza for supper and we had a lazy evening together watching Monday night football and browsing our favorite social media sites.

I'm so thankful for days like that when I can take time out of my busy schedule to focus on things that allow me to use my creativity and pursue my passions.  Things that allow me to share my heart and my faith in God.  I hope your week got off to a great start as well!
