6:03 Worship

Have you ever felt that you were a part of something bigger than yourself?
For the first time in my life, that is what I am experiencing.

6:03 Worship is not an idea that I dreamed up.  It's not even an idea that I was involved in during the early planning stages.  It is a God-inspired idea that involves a small group of people from several different churches and denominations.  When I think about it like that, I can't help but to smile :)

You see, there were a couple of people here, and a couple of people there that had the same vision for our little community.  God put these people together over time and 6:03 Worship was born.

Why 6:03?  What does that mean?  Let me see if I can explain.

Acts 6 verses 1-7 makes reference to seven who were chosen to serve the church.  At this particular time, there was some murmuring and complaining about the amount of ministry that still needed to be done.  The Word of God was being preached and people were being ministered to according to their needs, but there was more work to do.  The answer to the problem was to select among themselves seven who were full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom to see to these matters.

The number chosen is not significant.  What is significant is the purpose behind it.

Today, there is still a need for brothers and sisters in Christ to serve in ministry according to our spiritual gifts and talents.  Not everyone is called to preach or evangelize.  Some are called to minister through music.  Others are called to serve through prayer, giving, or mentoring.  The possibilities are only as limited as the spiritual gifts and talents are.

However, we are all called to work as one Body of Believers.

We are all called to proclaim the Gospel - starting within our own community.

That is what 6:03 Worship is all about.  We want to make a difference for Christ in our own community.....our own "Jerusalem".  The service is music-driven with an upbeat message.  Connection cards help us to follow up with those who make professions of faith, as well as seek to find a place to serve, find a home church, have prayer needs, etc.

If you live in the area, we'd love to have you!  Come and support us and ask God what He would have you do for Him.  We are planning to meet twice a month and we're tentatively shooting for the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm at the Wilcox County Ag Center.

We have purposely decided to meet on Thursdays as not to interfere with other church services.  We want you to feel free to be a part of this incredible ministry, regardless of where you attend church.

 Hope to see you there!
