lessons learned in June

School's out, but there are still lessons to be learned!  Not necessarily lessons in math or science, but lessons in life.

As I look back to the month of June, I'm amazed at how fast the year is going by!  Maybe I should start my Christmas shopping early?  Now, that would be a good lesson learned!

Emily at Chatting at the Sky is hosting a link-up so we can share our lessons learned during the month of June.

Here'a a few lessons that spoke volumes to me:

I learned that the college years for my son will fly by just as fast as high school.  In May, he completed his first year of college.  In June, we moved him into his first apartment!  You can check out all the details of Dillan's ATL loft here.

I learned (or was reminded) that we are never too old to accept Jesus Christ in our lives.  My 86 year old grandfather was saved and baptised on Father's Day :)

I learned that God can make us smile our biggest smiles in the form of a little red-headed boy.

Logan was with my mom at my house recently, and I was amazed at how much he's talking now!  This is the little boy who wasn't expected to live - and if he did, doctors were certain he would have no quality of life.  He's been 'signing' since he was less than a year old, but at four, he's talking up a storm!  If you don't know Logan's story, here's a little post to catch you up.

Thanks for hosting the link up party, Emily!  I think it's a great way to reflect on the blessings that sometimes accompany the lessons we learn.
