Fun times in ATL!

I've added a few decorating updates to Dillan's apartment here.  Be sure to check it out!

We headed to Atlanta last Friday after I got off work.  I saw this when we got there:

Needless to say, we went grocery shopping!  My next project is to make him a file full of menu ideas, recipes, and ingredients.  I think a cooking lesson might also be in order.  Sure, he can cook a few things, but he doesn't realize just how easy it can be to cook quick, healthy meals just for him.

Scott did give him a lesson in making "mama's" (meaning mine) sweet tea ;)  He had already made one pitcher, but swore it didn't taste like mine so he wanted to know what he had done wrong....lol!

It was late in the day when we arrived, so we decided to wait until Saturday to do something fun.

Dillan doesn't have a great view since he's in the corner of two buildings, but it's still a neat view.....definitely not like anything we would see at Wildwood Estates!!!

Scott and I were the first awake...of course!I made me a cup of coffee in Dillan's cute little coffee maker and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a little while :)  When everyone was awake and ready, we headed to breakfast and then a trip to the grocery store.

For lunch, we decided to take advantage of places within walking distance of the apartment.  We were delighted to finally get to meet two of Dillan's friends, Sterling and Courtney (hey, girls!)

We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe there in 5 Points.  The food was good and so was the service.

It's fun (and economical!) to have a place to stay in Atlanta and take advantage of so many things to do there!  Until Dillan started school at GSU, I had no idea how much there is to do right there in the downtown area.

It'll probably be a little while before we visit again.  I don't want to smother Dillan.  He needs time to enjoy his new place and his friends without mom and dad hanging around!

If we show up too much, he might want us to take special note of his door mat.............lol!
