one year down....three to go

Guess who just finished his first year of college?  Yep! Dillan took his last final Thursday morning.  Scott, Austin, and I headed that way yesterday morning to help him get packed up to come home for the summer.

Not exactly sure how long he'll actually be home though.  We're looking for an apartment for him in downtown ATL.  He wants to take advantage of some down time in the summers and not only have more time to experience the opportunities Atlanta offers, but to establish himself as a photographer in the Atlanta area.  So be praying for us...it's hard to find studio apartments in that area!

I have to admit, although he will probably eat me out of house and home while here (when I say that, I'm referring to eating all of my personal health food stash) it feels good to know he's safe and sound here in my nest for a little while.

He adjusted well to college life.  And that's saying something for someone moving from a two red light town to Atlanta!  I'm so proud of the young man he is :)

Before he moves back out, he's got one big project to help me with.  I've not mentioned it yet, but I've written my first children's book to be published in the next few months!  All they are waiting on are the illustrations....and guess who the illustrator is?!  Yes!  Dillan's name will also be on my first book!  I'm so excited about this little project and I pray that God will bless our efforts.

Well, I better go for now.  Got lots of someone's dirty laundry to wash ;)

Congrats to Dillon! My grandson has one more semester, and he'll have his four years done. He leaves for Indonesia this Wednesday with Lee Singers. They are going for 3 weeks, to sing and minister. So proud of him! Have fun while before his move to ATL.

P.S. Congrats on your book, and for having your own illustrator!
