a winter vignette

Well, Christmas is gone and, as usual, the house always looks gloomy after all that holiday sparkle.  After getting all of the Christmas decorations down and packed up, I immediately decided to do something special for the table in the breakfast room.  So what could be more appropriate than a winter vignette?

I found these cute snow covered bottles on Pinterest and knew right away that it would be just right for the table!  And they are so easy to do...just click here and read how I did it.

Here's the finished product!

To complete the vignette, I only had to purchase a few things in addition to the items for the bottle project.  I bought two white pillar candles and a few other items from the Christmas clearance section at Walmart.  I already had the two glass candle holders and the silver charger that I displayed the bottles on.  After I got everything placed on the table, it was obvious I needed either white or white/silver placemats or a table runner.  I didn't have any luck looking for either, but finally found two silver placemats.  I placed them next to each other to resemble a runner.....and I love it!

The white flowers I purchased were perfect for this!  They look just like little snowballs....and I love the silver leaves attached too :)  I cut a small piece of white shiny tinsel and laid it around the bottoms of the bottles.  I added a few extra silver leaves and two silver leaf ornaments to fill in the space.

Around the candles are small silver leaf wreaths....just the extra touch they needed.

Here's a closeup of a bottle with the other items at the base of the charger......

What a fun and easy project this was.....and very cost effective!

I'm linking up with Table Top Tuesday, Grace at Home, and Open House Party.
