2012 in review

As 2012 comes to a close, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at my most popular posts, a few decorating projects, and some of my favorite pictures taken throughout the year.

Let's start with the most poplar post by viewers in 2012.  Besides the recent tour of my home this Christmas, the next most viewed were my football tablescape to honor our high school football team and the beach inspired tablescape I did this summer.  You can view those here and here.

It's always fun to link up to blog parties to not only share my ideas but get so much inspiration from others!

A few of my favorite decorating projects were for the Acteens event I hosted in my home back in February (I was featured for that post at Cozy Home Scenes) and the graduation party we held for my son, Dillan.  I had so much fun planning that event!  They only graduate from high school once, so I wanted it to be extra special.  You can read all about it here. I also loved the Easter decorations I came up with :)  Next to decorating for Christmas, Easter is my favorite....or is it fall?  Hmmmm.....they're both alot of fun :)

It's been a busy year of activities getting Dillan from high school to college and me completing my psychology degree.  Thankfully our family did find time this summer to get away on a beach vacation.  These are some of my favorite pictures from that trip: (remember that Dillan is our personal photographer).

I've got alot planned for the new year, so January will be full of planning and getting better organized to get everything accomplished.  I'm hoping to find more time to blog this year and do more DIY projects to share with you.  I don't know about you, but I love being creative and I always have a list of projects I want to do.  It's just hard finding the time to get everything done that I'd like to do.  So setting priorities will be first on my list as I break out my 2013 planner and Home & Garden project book.

Tomorrow is New Year's Eve and I'm looking forward to spending the day with the mister.  Dillan will be in Atlanta with his college friends and Austin will be going home from his holiday visit with us.  We'll have the day to ourselves, so we plan on doing some shopping, having a nice dinner date, and ringing in the new year together with a quiet night at home.  All the Christmas decorations have been taken down, but I left the tree up for New Year's.  I love to see the tree lights on New Year's Eve :)

I pray that each of you will have a fantastic New Year's Eve..........be safe if you're out on the road.

Happy New Year!!!!!
I'm linking up with Rhoda at Southern Hospitality for her top projects for 2012 party.  Be sure to check out her sight.  She's also a "Georgia Girl" and I love following her blog.  She just renovated an older home this year and shared the entire process with us in blog land.
