dreaming of the "Deen Team"

The Queen of Southern Cuisine, Paula Deen, will soon announce a new team of bloggers to add to her blog circle....and I want to be one!!!

You may say, "Well, your blog's not all about cooking".  That's so true, but have you visited Paula's blog?  If not, you really need to hop on over there and check it out!  While Paula Deen is definitely America's favorite go-to person for southern cooking, she is so much more than a great cook!

Whether watching Paula on her television show or browsing through her magazines or website, it becomes evident that her family means the world to her.  She also loves to share practical advise for moms, decorating ideas to make your house a home, and so much more on her user friendly site.

While I am no expert on any of these things, those who know me or follow Whispers from Wildwood, know I'm all about faith, family, and fun!  I love to find any reason to celebrate a family accomplishment and I go out of my way to make my home a "haven" for my family and those visiting .  I recognize the importance of saving a dollar and I love to "shop" around my house to transform rooms or create tablescapes for special occasions.

I also love to create menus for family meals that celebrate special days and, of course, our own Wilcox County Patriot football!

As a published writer, I enjoy sharing my thoughts with my readers by writing articles such as Trusting God from my Empty Nest (found on my ministry blog, Living Grace Ministries) and other articles like More Than a Pinky Promise.

I'm just a small town southern girl that loves God, my family (that includes my furry daughter, Lucy), blogging, writing, decorating, deer hunting (yes...I even have a wall-hanger!), and small town living.  I would love to blog for the Deen Team and share life and ideas from the great State of Georgia!  Wish me luck ;)
