6th Week: Journey to Better Health

I just completed my 6th week of Jillian Michaels' 6 Week Six-Pack!  While I don't look like JM, let me assure you, there is a big difference!  I've lost 7 pounds and I would say, at least an inch off my hips and thighs.  If you remember, I was going to actually take measurements each week since week 2, but it proved to be difficult to get the tape measure exactly right each time.  But I think at least an inch is a good estimate based on my clothing.....good enough for me, anyway ;)  I've decided to do the video another six weeks, so I'll post any new progress I make. 

I see my doctor again next week and I'm anxious to get the blood results.  My allergies are still much improved from previous years.....thanks to getting rid of wheat and cow's milk in my diet....and decreased coffee intake (I couldn't give 'my precious' up completely).

A friend of mine brought me this wonderful  oatmeal bread from her recent trip to Florida.
I've finally gone through the entire loaf since it's wheat free :)  It was so nice to have bread every few days.  I had toast with it, a banana sandwich, and a hamburger....and I didn't even have to feel guilty about it!  Yes, that's mayo on the bread...hee hee :)  A little won't hurt.

I've also looked back over my food log and I've only had one real migraine the past 6 weeks.  I did have 3 other headaches, but they weren't actually migraines, so there's improvement there too.
