My Christmas Home Tour

I absolutely love Christmas - and I love decorating for Christmas!  Although I have around 13 boxes of Christmas decorations to get down out of the attic (that doesn't count the tree), it's not a chore at all to me.
This is my favorite room in the house, but let's start from the beginning of the tour.....

By the way, I'm linking up with Kelly and Nester at their annual Christmas Tour of Homes.  Be sure to check them out and see all of the gorgeous holiday homes.  You may get inspired to join in on the fun!

Welcome to my home in Wildwood Estates.  Come right on in and make yourself comfy :)
My goal is to have garland and bows on the front porch next year....I said that last year too...we'll see.
We live in the middle of the woods, so I also like to keep the outside simple.

I like this cute little wreath I purchased last year at Wally World.  I added a bow to it and really like it.  It's totally different from anything I've used before.  It adds a bright spot to the dark front door.
When the porch lights are on, it really shines!

My brother/sister-in-law made us this cute Rudolph a couple of years ago.
His nose and antlers glow with little red lights.

When you enter the front of the house, this is the view from the foyer.
The fireplace and mantel is the focal point of the room and the reason the LR is my favorite room in the entire house.  We have vaulted ceilings in there, so my new 9 ft tree is just what I needed for the space!
If you look close, you'll see that Scott's in his recliner...his favorite spot!
and Lucy is laid up there with him :)

Here's a view of one side of the room with the overhead lights off

another view of the room...that's my deer on the wall ;)

Lucy's area in the LR...she has more than one bed...
and look at the toys in her basket!  Needless to say, she's spoiled!

My Santa collection

Let's back up just a sec.  This is my favorite nativity in the foyer

Ok. Let's go on in the kitchen and get some coffee going.  While we wait, I'll show you a little of the Christmas decorations in there.....
breakfast area

My pie safe is full of Christmas items
I adore gingerbread men and have them everywhere in the kitchen at Christmas

top of the refrigerator....

I also love chickens and have them throughout my kitchen

I've have alot of nutcrackers too.  Most of them are elsewhere in the house.
We'll see them in a minute.

I found these cute snowmen pictures in DG long ago

Here's a look into the dining room from the foyer

a few more nutcrackers on the dining room wall

You can see the breakfast area in the distance.
I like that the two areas are close together - it makes for easy entertaining.

a little bit of Christmas in the wash room

 more nutcrackers in the hall

Now let's go on down the hall and peek in the hall bath.....

When the boys were smaller, I put small trees in their rooms.  Now that they are older, they don't really get into that, so there's nothing to see in there.

Here's a peek into the master bedroom.  Not alot, but there's a little
"touch" of Christmas in there too...

a pretty angel sits on my desk....

a couple of Santas on a dresser...

Here's the master bath...a small tree sits on the vanity

my garden tub area

Now let's go out on the back porch...
I keep it simple out here too - just a red throw in the rocker and some decorative
Christmas items on the tables

Thanks for coming by for a visit.  I hope you  enjoyed the tour of my home.
Now be sure to go visit Kelly and Nester to see the others....

Merry Christmas, everybody!
