graduation and a giraffe

It's not even spring yet!

Yep.....we just ordered Graduation caps and gowns!
I'm not sure I'm ready for this, but ready or not.....here it comes!

Dillan's going to kill me for this...but look....

Sorry for the poor quality.  I took this with my phone at the doctor's office - the pediatrician's office to be exact.  Yes.  I made Dillan an appointment with his pediatrician :)  They will see him until he's in college, so why not go to the familiar place?

As we sat in the room waiting on the doctor (he's been having some back pain that we wanted to get checked out), I thought about how silly he looks now in a room with monkeys and a giraffe on the wall.  I flashed back to when he was a little bitty baby and almost got teary eyed.  Then I looked at how ridiculous he was in that setting and started laughing :)

As you can imagine, he didn't want me to take his picture like that.  He said he could just imagine me saying, "This is a picture of Dillan's last visit to his pediatrician".  LOL.....he knows me so well!  I have documented his whole life in some form or another.  Just wait until I get his picture in front of the sign at the college he attends!  I've done that at each school he's gone too....and I'm very proud of that fact :)  I even have his baby teeth in a jar!  Yes, I know...I'm sick.

Luckily Dillan has been very healthy all these years.  He's hardly ever had to go to the doctor.  But I didn't see the point in finding a new doctor at this point.  They see the kids until college age, so there we were.  The new receptionist looked at us when we walked in like we were in the wrong place.  When she realized I knew what I was doing, she asked Dillan if he played basketball!  I guess people assume if you're over 6 feet, you do?  It was very comical in the waiting area (for over an hour!).  Even the babies in there were looking at him like, "Dude.  Why are you here?" LOL!

He informed me while we were waiting that this was the last time he was going there.  He said he needed a doctor for adults.  Well, ok.

On a serious note.  Say a prayer for him.  They thought by the examination that he had developed scoliosis, but the xray came back normal.  Please pray that they find out what's causing the pain.  It's gotten bad enough that he has trouble sleeping sometimes at night.
Well, I better get going.  I've got lots to do so my weekend can officially begin!
I hope you all have a great one!
