Happy Mother's Day

Wishing my mom a very Happy Mother's Day and hoping that all my blog friends that are mothers will have a fabulous day!  I hope your family spoils you ;)

I also wanted to share with my blog friends something my son wrote on my Facebook wall this morning....it's the most special gift he could have ever given me:
Happy Mothers Day Mom! I will avoid the cliches of 'your the best mom in the world'. I just tell it straight. You have raised me to be a confident young man. Thank you so much for not giving up when it was just me and you. Your such a strong person, and you inspire me everyday. You have a drive in you to help and serve others and I see that everyday. You have been a fantastic example to me and I can honestly say that if I had grown up any different than you had raised me, I would have been a totally different person. Never have I doubted that you loved me. You have always been generous in that department, and because of that we have always been close. Now that I am starting to "leave the nest" and go off on my own, you don't have to worry about me. You raised me right. Even God agrees with me on that.

[sniff, sniff] I can't put into words just how much this means to me!  Lord knows I'm not a perfect mother, but more than anything else, I want to do this job 'right'.  Dillan is such a special gift to me.  I'm so grateful for the blessing he has been in my life and I thank God for him every day.
Happy Mother's Day everybody....if your mom's still around, please don't forget to tell her how much she means to you and how much you appreciate her.
