More Than a Carpenter

Our worship choir at First Baptist Rochelle presented their Easter cantata, "Moore Than a Carpenter" on Palm Sunday.  They did such a great job!

Here is a few pictures of how the church sanctuary was decorated:
props on the stage area.........

The cross represents Jesus' sacrificial death to save us from an eternity in hell.  All we have to do is trust Him as our Lord and Savior to accept this free gift of life.

He was buried in a tomb and was raised from the dead on the 3rd day!

The light came on in the tomb at the end of the last song.....to demonstrate Christ raising from the dead!

This table displayed spikes....for the nails that pierced Jesus' hands and feet and wood shavings and a mallet because Jesus was a carpenter....

Jesus in no longer on that cross...........He is ALIVE!!!!

Beautiful spring flowers representing new life :)
