Family Feast

We had some family over for lunch today that I haven't seen in quite a while.  My mama grew up in a pretty big family - five kids in all! To me, that's big 'cause I just have one child!  Her two brothers live a few hours away, so we don't get to see them as often as we'd like.

Anyway, I offered to have the lunch at our house this year and I'm so glad I did.  Scott and I love having people over.  We built a house two years ago when we moved back to the county I grew up in.  It's not huge by any means, and nothing fancy, but we have enough room to have 3 tables with six places to sit at each.  That helps out when you have alot of mouths to feed - lol!

We decided to have bar-b-que and brunswick stew like we usually do.  We'll get enough turkey and dressing later in the week, right?  And it's so easy to prepare for lunch...well mainly because we buy it ready-made :)  But that leaves plenty of time to visit.  No fuss and no pots and pans to clean up after cooking ;)

We took a few pictures to remember the event.  You never know who will be able to come the next year...and of course, if all of us will even still be here.  I'm not trying to sound morbid, but it's just a fact.  Every day is special and we should cherish every memory with our family.

I've got a great one and I love them all so much:)  To my family members that couldn't make it this year....WE MISSED YOU!!!

Here's a few photos of the day on: (fyi - someone forgot to turn the flash on the camera)
