I love this photo Dillan did yesterday. I wanted to get a picture of all the American flags lining the streets in the little town we live in, but didn't get around to it. Maybe we'll get that done on the next holiday they put them all out. It really is an amazing sight to see! As far as you can see down the main streets of the town, American flags are flying everywhere. When my daddy was alive, he was a Chamber member and a member of the Lions Club. He loved doing community projects like that and had a big part to play in getting the flags here.
We had the Lord's Supper at the end of our church service today. I've been partaking of this service for many years and I always try to really think about what it means instead of just going through the motions. Bro. Jim talked about how our freedom didn't come cheap in this country and all the blood shed for us. But he also reminded us of our spiritual freedom and the price Jesus had to pay in shedding his blood for us. I'm so thankful that I'm an American, but more importantly, I'm thankful that I'm a Christian and have freedom in Christ. God bless each of you this day. Enjoy the time with your family and friends.
